I also never used triple speed when driving to or attending the emegency fastest way to bug it out. In regards to the lot based emergencies, I always start on the one furtherest from my sims starting point, to make the overall travel time more efficient. I also used the lifetime rewards for accelerated experience, etc. I bypassed issues with skill related progression by having them tinker/upgrade the vehicles and alarms, so long as you are doing stuff related to that skill it was usually counted. Not to say that ts3 isn't poorly optimised, it's ridiculous, that's not even up for debate. I'm inclined to think it's your savefile/that sim rather than the actual career. I never had anywhere near this level if difficulty, lol. How the hell does this kind of thing get approved for release? Aren't there people who play these games to ensure that they actually work? The firehouse provides everything that you need to skill up, keep yourself entertained, attend your needs, and occasionally hook up with your girlfriend on the couch, but it is far too frustrating to play.
Sims 3 careers plus#
The firefighter career sounds great, and is the closest thing that I can see to a "real" job in the game you don't get paid thousands every day (salary comes once a week, plus a bonus when you can actually put out a fire), and it takes up your entire day, so there is a hint of a challenge. All I need to do to fix this is completely overhaul my game. This is pretty metal, but obviously slows down your progression through the career ranks.įive: I've read that you can overcome a few of these bugs by reinstalling, moving to another town, rebuilding the firehouse and using cheat codes. This obviously slows down your progression through the career ranks.įour: on the rare occasion that you make it to the burning building, your firefighter has no option to enter the house and instead stands out the front playing guitar or reading a book as the house burns down. Except the game keeps expecting you to save four sims, when there's only three in the house, and giving you an F-grade for your efforts. Three: a large house fire somehow overcomes the cancelling bug, and adds in the new challenge of rescuing sims from a burning building. A Sims firefighter gets graded on his/her performance at putting out fires, and obviously slows down your progression through the career ranks. Two: a firefighter is supposed to put out fires, but a bug in the game cancels a small house fire four out of five times per week. This obviously slows down your progression through the career ranks. One: if you turn up to work with maxed skills, the game doesn't recognise that you aren't improving yourself. This has got to be one of the biggest fuck-ups in the Sims history. Until I decided to become a firefighter (Ambitions pack). I can understand some frustration with lag and loading and all of that, but the way that I play the game, it doesn't really affect me that much. I fired up Sims 3 after an extended break lately (I never got around to Sims 4), and fell right back in love with it.
